The next evening

Went for a walk on the bike path next to the lake around 4ish. Ran into Lee Rogers and we talked so long that they sun started to set. Glad i had my camera with me.

Sunsets

So normally Big Bear is not known for Sunsets. This night i saw a post from a friend on facebook saying that he missed the sunset picture that day and did anyone manage to get the sunset. So since i just got a new camera i stepped out on my front porch. This is what i got. Not bad! Jan 13th

1-11-11 Morning picture

This morning woke up to some cool pictures on facebook of the sunrise at the beach. I headed out to walk the dogs with my new camera and this is what i saw. I really love the colors.

Wow, a year and a half has passed since i last logged on to my blog. Yikes! I got a new camera today and as soon as i figure it out i will be post again. Hopefully by tomorrow.

Running the SF marathon

Went to the Moose lodge tonight to celebrate Loni's Birthday. Above is Loni reading some of her cards. She is a really funny girls so pretty much every card was a crack up. Below is Miss Kim and Dee hang'n out. Dee was sporting her new hairstyle tonight.

Another Wednesday Practice

This is the NAC secret, yes a double hull. That is what we go out it every single practice. It is fun when only a few girls show up. Yikes, tonight we where doing our changes on 30 and 45 against the current. Ouch!

Imua is alway jealous of our double hull when we wiz pass them.

Yes we are finished! Now this is the best part of the workout pushing the canoe up above the high tide line. Found out that Billy backs up his truck and pulls up the canoe with a tow line. How lucky are we to have such a smart coach.

With the tempertures back in the 50's I went to the lake today with Tami. There is a 5k Bike trail on the north shore.

Yep 10 paddlers made it to practice. Way better than 8 paddlers in a double hull. Good way to start the season.

My Canoe in the Lake

So the other day i get a call from one of my co-workers and she tells me that my canoe is almost in the water and with in the next few days it will be a float. I leave it at the lake at my summer job. Last time i was down there it was a least 15 to 20 feet from the water. With all the new snow melt and rain we have been having the lake is almost full. It was down about 9 feet at the end of summer. I t was freezing while i was down moving my canoe up to higher ground . Ice in the foot wells and about 10lbs heavier from just ice on it.

Hang'n with Corry and Willie

Corry and Willie put away the paddles for the day and came up to the mountains to ski and snowboard. I had a fun time with them cruising around Snow Summit in the morning with them.

We hiked up Snow Forest yesterday and found 1Eo1 trail and cusied up that to this lookout.

Hiking up the mountain in Snow Shoes

Suzie and I went up the mountain on our lunch break. We got 6 inches of new snow overnight and it is still snowing.
Great views of the Big Bear Lake on the way down.
