Wow 2 great pictures of the lake that i took for the Snow Summit Website. I just had to get out and go to Starbucks the other morning and went around the other side of the lake and got this pic.

The storm is slow approching but the wind has made a big effect on the lake.

Better late than never

It has not stopped snowing yet. Storms just keep rolling in one after another. Snow and more snow but the good thing about all the snow this late is that it melts pretty fast. The sun is lower and this Sunday time will be changing. I don't know how this happed but this is a picture from Bear Mountain pretty wild I guess at this time in the year everyone is thinking about the beach.

Bear Mountain Fun

We are having way too much fun at Bear Mountain during the Special Olympics. It was freezing cold and I got to go for a ride up and down the mountain to time the race course with HJ and Greg.

Now this is what is really about. We got about 3 feet of new snow and everything looks unreal. Went out skiing today it was the best so far this year. Powder to packed powder i couldn't ask for anything better. I also got my car dug out today so i am moble again. This is Marty Ward he works with me in the marketing dept at Bear Mountain.

OK enough snow already!

Yes this is my car under 3 feet of snow. It started to snow on Thursday and it is now Saturday night and it hasn't stopped yet! I don't look forward to digging it out.

This was the New Year's Eve Torchlight parade, but with no snow no parade that night. Well a little late, but fun just the same.

Last year the forest service had a controlled burn on the back side of Bear Mountain ski resort. It got out of hand. Everyone in town was up in arms over this because it came really close to alot of properties.

We just got 3 inches of snow on Sunday morning. With that came very cold weather. Burrrrr it is freezing right now.

It finally snowed yesterday a fast moving winter storm dumped 6 inches of new snow in Big Bear. It's so beautiful when every thing is covered in white. This picture is a view from the top of the mountain behind my house. It just happens to be a ski resort.

This is what my house looked like last year. It is almost the end of December and no snow not even a inch. Dry as a bone. Bummer. If you are reading this do me a favor do a snow dance for me.

Found A Photo

I was just searching the web and I came across a photo of Lanakila crossing the finish line on Oahu. To my surprise I am in seat 4. Paddling it is official I now have proof that I can paddle and not just steer. This was a great race and now I have a new outlook on the Molokai race.

A foot print in the snow

Yeah! We finaly made snow last night. It has been awhile since i last updated my blog. Not much has been going on. A drive up and down the mountain for work. That is about it. The resort should be open any day. I can hear the snow-guns at night. Since we have been updating our snowguns to snowfans the noise at night isn't so bad anymore. It is just a hummmmmm now. It use to sound like a airplain taking off.
